All of us here at Civic Trust House are sad to hear of the Arts Council's cutting of all funding to Opera 2005 for 2009. We feel passionately that Opera 2005 have done a fantastic job up to now of nurturing opera in Cork - through their productions, their Young Artists Programme and their education programme. As a company they are also great housemates and are very active participants in life at Civic Trust House.
